[origin: DE10033902C1] Casting/low pressure casting comprises pushing together two opening sections of a passage channel directly after casting so that an opening section lying above remains connected to the casting opening and an opening section lying below remains connected to the mouth opening of the feed tube. The opening sections lie displaced from each other. An Independent claim is also included for a device for casting/low pressure casting comprising a closing plate (13) placed on the casting table (11) and consisting of two plates (19,23) having openings (20,24). Preferred Features: The melt sinks in the feed tube until the lower opening section of the passage channel is emptied of melt.
