Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1300221A2] The assembly for cutting padded packaging materials, in at least two layers, has a base plate (1), a fixed blade (2), and a moving blade (3) over the base plate. A drive operates the moving blade. The base plate has a shaft (6) for the packaging material feed. <??>A retainer (5), with a support surface (22) to hold the material in place during cutting, is positioned over the fixed blade by a holder (23) so that the support surface is flush with the cutting edge (17) of the fixed blade.
