Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1300312A1] The railway freight wagon (1), to carry and transport loose materials (21), has a rail chassis (2) with a wagon frame (4) and a bonded container (6). A conveyor belt (9) is at the container floor, between the ejection end (8) and entry end (19) of the container. A transfer conveyor belt (11) is at the leading end (13) of the wagon frame, in the direction of travel (5), projecting over the end, with its start point (10) under the ejection end of the container conveyor belt at a transfer point (20). The trailing end of the wagon frame is coupled to a further container unit (7), with its floor-level conveyor belt (15) leading to a transfer point (18) to move the loose material into the preceding container over the start point of its conveyor belt.
