Production of a hardened sheet metal profile comprises forming a passage (5) with a protruding collar on a sheet bar (1); hot deforming the sheet bar in a pressing tool to form a sheet metal profile; and hardening. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines gehärteten Blechprofils aus einer gegebenenfalls vorgeformten Platine (1) aus Stahlblech. Zunächst wird an der Platine (1) ein Durchzug (5) mit einem vorstehenden Kragen (4) erzeugt. Anschließend wird die Platine (1) erwärmt und in einem Pressenwerkzeug (6) zum Blechprofil warm umgeformt und noch im Pressenwerkzeug (6) gehärtet. Beim Umformvorgang im Pressenwerkzeug erfolgt eine endformgebende Kalibrierung des Durchzugs (5). <IMAGE>
