Abstract (en)
A continual feed of non-woven fibre fleece (2) is loosened by a drum (3) or carding machine and is released through a gap between a revolving drum and a flat surface (19). The flat surface (19) esp. has a line of venturi-driven suction apertures (20) discharging to a passage. <??>The assembly incorporates a sensor which detects the presence of foreign bodies which are removed by suction. A chicane is located in the suction passage after the venturi jet and suction outlets. The chicane prevents return of foreign bodies to the fleece web. The gap is preceded by the curved surface of the lift-off drum (15) and the flat surface (19) bridged by the fleece web.

Eine durch eine Sensoreinrichtung (5) gesteuerte Ausscheidevorrichtung (6) ist im Bereich der Abnehmerwalze (3) oder auch der Abnehmervorrichtung (4) einer Karde angeordnet. Die Ausscheidevorrichtung weist wenigstens eine Leitwand (19) für das Faservlies (2) auf, in der über die ganze Breite wenigstens eine Reihe von Saugöffnungen (20) angeordnet ist. Jede Saugöffnung grenzt an einen Strömungskanal mit einer Venturi-Düse zur Erzeugung einer Saugwirkung. <IMAGE>
