In a paper manufacturing process a wet web (1) is picked up in the vicinity of a lift-off roller (3) and transported by an air-permeable felt belt (2) over one or more rotating cylinders (4, 8). A hot air blower (5) is directed at the exposed web surface. The blower is positioned esp. between the lift-off roller (3) and cylinder (4). <??>A suction device is located opposite the blower on the other side of the web. The blower (5) extends over the width of the entire web and is transversely sub-divided into separate sections, each with individual temperature control. The web (1) centre section is subject to a greater volume and/or temperature of blown air. The lift-off roller is a perforated suction drum. The web drying group may consists of one or more drying rollers (8).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Übernahme und Führung einer Papier-, Karton-, Tissue- oder einer anderen Faserstoffbahn (1) mittels eines endlos umlaufenden, luftdurchlässigen Bandes (2) in einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Veredelung der Faserstoffbahn (1), wobei das Band (2) im Übernahmebereich eine Abnahmewalze (3) umschlingt und das Band (2) gemeinsam mit der Faserstoffbahn (1) nach der Übernahme zumindest einen rotierenden Zylinder (4) umschlingt. Dabei soll die Stabilität der Führung der Faserstoffbahn (1) insbesondere bei hohen Bahngeschwindigkeiten dadurch verbessert werden, dass wenigstens in einem Abschnitt des Führungsbereiches zwischen der Abnahmewalze (3) und dem Zylinder (4) von zumindest einem Blaskasten (5) warme, trockene Luft gegen die freie Oberfläche Faserstoffbahn (1) geblasen wird. <IMAGE>
