[origin: EP1300517A2] The method for application of strewn material into an asphalt layer (14) involves during laying work process of the asphalt layer the use of an installation board of road-producing equipment, the strewn material being pre-fed in at least a first stage and then finely fed in at least a second stage. The material is distributed over the complete work width in the direct vicinity of the installation board (1) into the surface of the asphalt layer. <??>The strewn material can be fed either in front of the installation board or behind it. It is submitted to a cleaning and/or drying process and/or an application of an adhesive medium prior to application. The pre-feed of the strewn material is by means of at least one distributor worm (26) and its fine feed is by means of at least one feed roller (10).
