[origin: EP1300744A2] The operating control has a seating (8) with a hollow shaft (18) fitting through an opening in an operating panel from the operating side and a shoulder (26) abutting the outer surface of the operating panel, receiving a removable sliding and/or rotary operating element. A fixing element (12) has a second hollow shaft (52) with ratchet elements (64) cooperating with ratchet elements of the first hollow shaft for fixing it in a given axial position in contact with the rear surface of the operating panel.
