[origin: FR2815187A1] The connector comprises an outer metallic envelope (1) forming the earth contact, and an inner dielectric envelope (2). The cylindrical envelopes are placed coaxially around the cables. The connector for electrical cables comprises an outer metallic envelope (1) forming the earth contact, connected to the metallic sleeve of the cables. Inside this there is a dielectric envelope (2). The two envelopes are both cylindrical, and are placed coaxially around the cables to be connected and include seals in order to form a sealed cavity between the insulating envelope and the insulating sleeve of the cables. The connection may be formed by two tubes, the outer one being a metallic conductor and the inner one being an insulating dielectric. The seal is provided by gripping the insulating sleeve of the cable.
