[origin: WO0207900A1] The invention relates to a device for application of dye to a material web, comprising a stencil and a revolving doctor for pressing the dye through the stencil onto the material web. The rolling doctor (2), preferably over the entire length thereof, runs and rotates in a tunnel (5) of a guide body (3). The rolling doctor extends from a longitudinal slot in the tunnel (5), facing the stencil (6), with a part of the circumference thereof and the tunnel wall (5a) is of such a form that it contacts the external surface of the rolling doctor (2) in several guide locations (10), separated along the tunnel longitudinal direction and extends at a separation (d) from the rolling doctor (2) between said guide positions (10). The tunnel wall (5a) comprises preferably concave arched recesses (11) between the guide positions (10).
