[origin: WO0202260A1] The invention relates to a continuous casting ingot mould (1) comprising copper plates (2) defining a casting cross-section (1a) wherein coolant channels (4) are orientated towards a water tank (3). The water tank (3) comprises a collector flow pipe (6) and a collector return pipe (7). In order to reduce the special steel content in the water tank (3), a copper moulding plate for a profiled casting cross-section (1a) is adapted to the casting cross-section (8) and provided with coolant holes running (6a) parallel to the casting direction (10) for guiding the coolant and collector flow pipe holes (6a) running perpendicular thereto, in addition to collector return pipe holes (7a) leading to at least 2 separate channel-shaped water tanks (3) made of special steel. The water tanks (3) are placed, respectively, directly and externally sealingly onto the copper moulding plate(2a).
