[origin: WO0208518A1] The invention relates to an impregnate and a method for the production and use thereof. The aim of the invention is to improve the impregnate and the production method thereof in such a way that the surface properties are improved. In order to achieve this, the inventive method involves applying at least one hardenable resin, for example polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), to a base paper. The impregnate consists of a base paper, a component consisting of at least one hardenable resin and a component consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
