Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0206614A1] The invention relates to a window or a door comprising a wing arranged on a fixed frame by means of hinged fittings, on or close to an upright defining edge. Said wing comprises a load alleviation device which engages on the wing in the region of the hinged fittings and which acts against the weight force or load direction of the wing on the fixed frame. The load alleviation device consists of a bracket which is applied to the wing or the frame, a tension or pressure member which is linked to said bracket, and an abutment which can be coupled to said member and which is fixed to the frame or the wing. The aim of the invention is to facilitate mounting the wing in the frame. In order to achieve this, the tension or pressure member is detachably fixed in a position in which the end thereof which can be coupled to the abutment is set apart from the wing or frame, protruding on a plane in front.
