Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0207444A1] The invention concerns a method for determining parameters of an OFDM signal in a receiver comprising a tuner and a demodulator, as well as the associated the receiver. The method comprises steps which consist in: (a) programming the demodulator with a particular value of FFT mode parameter; (b) for said particular value of FFT mode parameter and a particular guard time value, integral variation of other parameters of the signal; (c) verifying the absence of parasitic oscillation, even temporary, of the carrier recuperating loop during the variation phase; (d) in the absence of parasitic oscillation, repeating the preceding steps with another FFT mode; (e) storing parameter configurations corresponding to temporary parasitic oscillations; and (f) varying the guard time value for each of said configurations, until permanent lock-on of the carrier recuperating loop is detected.
