[origin: EP1302105A1] A bail arm (34) includes a bail (41), a fixed shaft (43) formed by a machining process, a line roller (44) supported by the fixed shaft, and a fixed shaft cover (46) formed in one piece with the fixed shaft by a die forming process. The fixed shaft cover includes a guiding portion (46a) and a recessed portion (46b). The recessed portion is formed on a side of the fixed shaft cover (46) opposite the guiding portion (46a) with respect to the bail (41). The guiding portion (46a) includes a cylindrical portion (46c). The fixed shaft cover is formed such that the angle alpha defined by a center axis A of the cylindrical portion and axis B of the fixed shaft is at least 8 DEG and at most 30 DEG , and an axial length L of the cylindrical portion is at least 1 mm and at most 3 mm. The present invention provides a fishing line guiding mechanism with which fishing line can be guided smoothly to a line roller. <IMAGE>
