Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10150550C1] The contact device has a switch shaft (6) rotating about an axis (z) perpendicular to the centre plane (xy) of the switch pole within the insulating housing of the protection switch, a rotary contact bridge (10) fitting in a recess (12) of the switch shaft and extending along the centre plane, with contact pieces (14) at its diametrically opposing ends cooperating with stationary contacts (16). The contact force is provided by pairs of tension springs (18) positioned symmetrically on both sides of the centre plane and symmetrical to the rotation axis of the contact bridge, with coupling pieces (20) between the ends of each pair cooperating with extensions (28) at the opposite ends of the other pair for preventing rebound.
