Abstract (en)
The arrester cable consists of a flexible cable (122) deployed across a waterway (114) and connected at each end to an anchor (136, 137) on the bed of the waterway and a buoy (124, 125). Each buoy is attached to fixed lateral retaining points (126a, 126b; 127a, 127b) by V-shaped mooring lines (128a, 128b; 129a, 129b) of reduced resistance. The arrester cable is pre-tensioned by an elastic traction assembly (148, 149) in each of the forward mooring lines. A craft under way encountering the cable causes the mooring lines to break and is held by the arrester cable and anchors.

L'installation (120) pour l'arrêt des bateaux comprenant un câble d'arrêt flexible (122) disposé en travers de d'une voie navigable (114) et relié à chaque extrémité à des moyens d'ancrage (136,137) disposés au fond) de la voie navigable et à un coffre flottant (124,125) lui-même attaché à au moins un point fixe latéral de retenue (126a-126b,127a-127b) par un ensemble de liaison de moindre résistance (128,129) constitué de deux amarres en V amont (128a,129a) et aval (128b,129b), l'installation (120) étant adaptée, une fois le bateau (121) pris dans le câble d'arrêt et la rupture des ensembles de liaison (128,129), pour arrêter le bateau (121) à l'aide des moyens d'ancrage (136,137). Le câble d'arrêt (122) principalement constitué d'aramide est pré-tendu, par un ensemble élastique de traction (148,149) monté sur chaque amarre aval (128b,129b), à une tension nettement inférieure à la valeur correspondante à la rupture des ensembles de liaison (128,129). <IMAGE>
