[origin: EP1304476A2] The high pressure injector body (1) has an essentially cylindrical valve chamber (3) into which fuel can be introduced at high pressure via a feed bore (2) opening into a feed opening (7) in the valve chamber. The valve chamber has a bulge in its cross-section, at least near the feed opening and adjacent to the feed opening in the peripheral direction.
