[origin: WO0209596A1] The device serves to align a guide template for the distal femoral section in unicompartmental joint replacements and comprises, in essence: A) two onlay elements (5; 12) each having a bearing surface (3; 6), which can be placed in a plane (1) and which are designated for placing against each condyle (24; 25) of a femur (21); B) at least one rod-shaped transversal support (10; 11), which is arranged parallel to a transversal axis (2), is terminally joined to the first onlay element (12), and which can be joined to the second onlay element (5), whereby the transversal axis (2) runs parallel to the plane (1), and; C) a guide template (20), whereby positioning means (26) enable the guide template (20) to be displaced parallel to the plane (1) as well as with regard to the second onlay element (5) and to be releasably arrested, whereby; D) the second onlay element (5) is rotationally fixed with regard to rotation around the transversal axis (2), can be displaced on the at least one transversal support (10; 12) in a manner that is coaxial to the transversal axis (2), and can be releasably arrested.
