[origin: WO0181614A2] Disclosed are compositions and methods useful for measuring cell proliferation. The methods use a luciferase polypeptide to assess changes in cell number. Also disclosed are methods to diagnose and monitor cell proliferative disorders including cancer. In addition, the methods disclosed are useful for identifying agents that modulate cell proliferation.
