Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1306141A2] The cleaning method uses a pneumatically-driven pig (1) displaced longitudinally along the feed line (2) and provided with peripheral cleaning tools (18), e.g.brushes, contacting the inside wall of the feed line, with the pressurised air discharged via openings (14,15) spaced in the longitudinal direction of the pig, for removal of solid material from the feed line wall. The ratio of the pig feed velocity to the feed air velocity is less than 1, the feed air velocity having an angular component. <??>An Independent claim for a device for cleaning a pneumatic feed line is also included.
