A water soluble package formed from a water soluble film containing a substantially non-aqueous liquid composition comprising at least one surfactant selected from those of formulae (I) and (II):- <CHEM> <CHEM> wherein R<1> is C5-C22, preferably C7-C17 straight or branched alkyl or alkenyl; R<2> is C1-C6, preferably C1 or C2 alkyl; each AO represents an independently selected C2-C4, preferably C2 alkyleneoxy group; and M<+> represents a hydrogen or a counter cation, preferably an alkali metal ion.
