Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1306505A2] The hinge has a hinge part (1) secured to the door column and a hinge part (2) attached to the automobile door, with a hinge bolt (11) fitting through 2 wings (7,8) of the door column hinge part and an arm (10) of the door hinge part, inserted between these wings. A retention device holds the opened door in at least one angular position, using a spring-loaded ratchet element of the door column hinge part cooperating with notches in a ratchet profile of the door hinge part.
