Abstract (en)
The method involves preparing the end of at least one wire (6) and placing it on the connection piece (9) of a workpiece (11) such as a miniature switch. The prepared end is soldered to the connection piece using a laser beam. The preparation of the end of the wire may involve attaching a contact piece (1) by pressing. After the laser welding step, the workpiece may be moulded. <??>Independent claims are included for a contact piece and an apparatus for performing the method.

Kontaktstück mit einem ersten Abschnitt (3) zur Herstellung einer Verbindung mit einer Leitung (6) und einem derart gestalteten zweiten Abschnitt (5), daß dieser auf ein Anschlußstück (9) aufsetzbar ist, wobei der erste Abschnitt (3) mit dem zweiten Abschnitt (5) über einen biegsamen Steg (7) derart verbunden ist, und der zweite Abschnitt (5) senkrecht zu seiner Mittelachse aus der Fluchtlinie mit der Leitung (6) weggebogen werden kann. <IMAGE>
