[origin: WO0210583A1] The invention relates to a fuel-injection valve (1) for fuel-injection systems in internal combustion engines, in particular for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Said valve comprises an actuator (10), a valve needle (3) which interacts with said actuator (10) and is impinged by a return spring (23) in a closing direction for operating a valve-closing body (4), which together with a valve seat surface (6) forms a tight seal, and a sleeve (24), which exerts a pretensioning force on the return spring (23). The sleeve (24) can be plastically deformed in a manner which allows the cross-section of a flow channel (46) of the sleeve (24) to be modified by mechanical means.
