Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1308365A1] The axle counter has a bridge of magnetic material (24,26,28) mounted longitudinally between consecutive wheels (R) of a bogie of the vehicle. The bridge can be a metal bar carried by the bogie. The bar can be fixed on a perpendicular mounting bar (30) attached to the bogie. An Independent claim is also included for a method of controlling movement of railway vehicles using the counter.
