[origin: EP1310182A1] The sports boot (10), comprising a sole (12), an upper (14) with fastenings and a covering flap (26), has the flap forming part of the upper and joined to it by an in-turned seam (18) on the side of the boot that is more subject to abrasion. One of the two pieces joined by the seam can be more rigid than the other to act as a reinforcing element, or both pieces can be flexible and waterproof.
