The reinforcing plate (3) for increasing the rigidity of a table top (10) is triangular in shape and is mounted under the top. The wider end (5) is screwed to the table leg and the narrower end (8) to the table top. <??>Independent claims are included for: (a) a table top fitted with the system; and (b) a method for fitting the plate on a table top.

Für das Stabilisieren bzw. zur Erhöhung der Festigkeit eines Tischblattes (1) wird das Anordnen eines flächigen Einlageelementes (3) vorgeschlagen. Dieses flächige Einlageelement (3) ist vorgesehen um in einem Eck- und/oder Randbereich des Tischblattes (1) mindestens teilweise im Blatt eingelassen angeordnet zu werden. Das Einlageelement weist eine Befestigungspartie (7) auf, vorgesehen um mit einem Tischbein (6) verbunden zu werden, sowie mindestens eine stabilisierungs- bzw. festigkeitserhöhende Partie (8), um die Festigkeit des Tischblattes (1), gegebenenfalls verbunden mit weiteren Elementen, zu erhöhen. <IMAGE>
