Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1310275A1] The ski (1) has a folding frame (6) with an adjustable saddle (13) for the rider, a handlebar (17) and foot-rest, and is propelled by the rider using a walking or running motion with the feet. The frame is mounted on a base (8) fixed to the upper surface of the ski, and has a lockable pivot (10) that allows it to be folded flat when not in use. The ski also has a brake with a friction element for the snow, operated by pedal bar. On soft snow the rider might need to use snow shoes.
