Abstract (en)
When wiping the nozzle plate to clean the print head of an inkjet printer a wiper having a slanted position is used. The method provides less mechanical impact upon making and releasing contact with the print head. Gradually clearing of the print head by the wiper prevents ink residues being flung away by a recoiling wiper contaminating the inside of the printer. <IMAGE>
