[origin: EP1310672A2] The fuel supply system (10) incorporates a first pump (16) driven by an electric motor (18) which draws fuel from the tank (14) and passes it through a filter (19) to a second pump assembly (20). This assembly has the electric motor (24) and the radial piston pump (26) accommodated in a common fluid-tight housing (22). <??>The pump has a control module (28) connected to a main control module (38). The main control module is connected to the motor for the first pump and a pressure sensor connected to the common rail (30). The common rail feeds several injectors (32) each installed in a cylinder head in the engine (12).
