Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1311039A2] A three-phase alternator has a rotor with a sliding contact (SC) and a brush holder to cooperate with a carbon brush (CB) (16) to supply power to the rotor with its SC. The CB moves on-axis in a tube (17) and is pressurized by a coil spring (18) prestressed behind it in the tube. A connector flex (20) for the CB is fed through the coil spring and firmly connected at its outer end (20a) with a connector part (22) leaving a gap away from the longitudinal axis of the tube. <??>An Independent claim is also included for a brush holder for a three-phase alternator for motor vehicles.
