Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0214869A2] This invention provides a method and a device for determining the presence and/or quantity of a hydrophobic analyte in a biological solution suspected of containing the analyte with enhanced sensitivity and precision. Sensitivity and precision of the method are achieved by selecting an antibody capable of binding to hydrophobic regions of the analyte, adding the selected antibody to the analyte before applying the solution containing the analyte to solid materials of the method and device, and hence, preventing adsorption of the analytes to the solid materials.
