Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0213213A1] The invention concerns a beacon system, in particular for the landing strip in an airport, comprising a power source (10) supplying a constant current to a primary circuit (12) and a plurality of beacon lights (14-1 to 14-6) each connected to the primary circuit through a current transformer (16-1 to 16-16) whereof the secondary circuit supplies a feeding current to the light. At least a plurality of adjacent transformers forms a multiple block without connection cables. Each transformer incorporates a male plug and a female plug, the male plug being obtained in this case by driving one of the two male plugs of a double male plug into one of the two female plugs. The transformers are stacked so as to form said multiple block, the male plug of one of the transformers being driven in the female plug of the immediately adjacent transformer, the male plug of the first transformer and the female plug of the last transformer being connected to the primary circuit.
