Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0217342A1] The microswitch is produced from a mainly sheet-like substrate and comprises at least the following components: a contact piece (7, 9) fixed to the substrate, a movable contact piece (6), which electrically contacts the fixed contact piece (7, 9) in the switched on position of the switch and which is separated from the fixed contact piece in the switched off position of the switch, a flexible contact support (1), holding the movable contact piece (6), fixed with two ends (2, 3) on the substrate and a drive (10) for displacing the contact support (1) into the on or off switch position by elastic deformation. The contact support (1) may be deformed parallel to the substrate. In one of the stable positions corresponding to the switched off state the contact support (1) has the form of a symmetrical antinode. In one of the stable positions corresponding to the switched on state the contact support (1) is deformed after the fashion of an asymmetrical antinode. Said switch thus comprises both a stable on and off position and a secure contact making and a secure contact breaking is permanently guaranteed without the need for an additional force or additional securing means.
