[origin: WO0217377A1] In order to produce a metallic hollow body (9) with interspaced delimiting walls (10), between which a number of interspaced, column-like supports (4) extend inside at least in areas, a shaped body (1) is produced at the location of the column-like supports (4). Said shaped body is provided with continuous recesses (2), constitutes the cavity, and conducts electricity poorly. The shaped body (1) is electrochemically coated with wall material and is then destructively removed from the cavity. In order to simplify and improve production, solid conductive inserts (3) serving as column-like supports (4) are inserted inside the recesses (2) before the shaped body (1) is electrochemically coated and are at least partially used for providing electrical contacting during electrochemical coating.
