[origin: EP1312568A1] The collating machine for forming unbound book blocks (2) from printed sheets has a stacker (3), a conveyor (4) which feeds the sheets to the stacker and a second conveyor (5) which passes the blocks on for further processing. The stacker has two stacking positions (A, B) and the first conveyor can be adjusted to produce blocks in either position or alternately in both of them.
