The adhesive tape applicator has a front section (101), in which the reel (200) of tape is mounted. Le dispositif comprend d'une part un appareil dévidoir et d'autre part au moins une bobine de ruban de grande longueur présentant une ouverture centrale éventuellement associée à un moyeu ou à un mandrin, dispositif muni de moyens pour guider hors du dévidoir un brin libre débobiné de ce ruban et pour l'appliquer sur une surface dite « de destination », cet appareil comprenant : une partie avant présentant un emplacement pour au moins une bobine amovible susceptible de tourner par rapport à ladite partie avant selon un axe virtuel transversal à celle-ci, un galet d'application monté rotatif transversalement, une poignée de manoeuvre, Il est caractérisé en ce que la bobine amovible (200) et le galet d'application (106) sont associés à un organe de maintien en place (108 - 113) destiné à solliciter soit la bobine (200) vers le galet d'application (106), soit le galet d'application (106) vers la bobine (200), afin que ces deux éléments (200 et 106) soient maintenus en permanence en contact tangentiel l'un avec l'autre. <IMAGE>
