[origin: EP1314811A1] The soleplate has an autonomous steam assembly (4), which is composed of a steam chamber (5) having a water supply conduit that is connected to the reservoir of the domestic iron. The steam chamber has a separate heating material (7) with a thermostat (8) to regulate the temperature in the chamber. The assembly has a steam outlet (9) connected to a complementary steam intake that exists in the ironing material.
