Abstract (en)

A shoe roll (1) comprises a flexible, replaceable press cover (3) having two end regions. <??>A shoe roll comprises a flexible, replaceable press cover having two end regions; an end supporting disc (2); two end regions having reinforcing inlays (5) and being releasably coupled to the end supporting disc; and a quick-acting closure located between an inner wall of the end region and the end supporting disc. The quick-acting closure has radially pressing element structured to exert a pressing force and to seal an interior of the shoe roll from an external environment. <??>Independent claims are also included for: <??>(a) a quick-acting closure for a shoe roll for dewatering or calendering a moving fibrous web that includes a flexible, replaceable press cover having two axial end regions, reinforcing inlays provided in the two axial end regions and at the supporting disc positionable in the end region comprising a radially pressing element structured to exert a pressing force and to seal an interior of the shoe roll from an external environment; and radially pressing element located between an inner wall of the end region and the end supporting disc; and <??>(b) a process of connecting and disconnecting the press cover of the shoe roll comprising axially moving the end of the press cover onto the supporting disc, where the supporting disc radially opens the end.

Abstract (de)

<IMAGE>
