[origin: WO0220381A1] The invention relates to a method and an installation for maintaining the easy running of chain conveyors. The aim of the invention is to solve the problem of guaranteeing a closed system of lubricating/cleaning the chain conveyors during fully automatic operation. To this end, the method provides for a computer-controlled supply of lubricants in undiluted form (as a concentrate) in predetermined positions of the chain conveyors and for a periodical supply of chain cleaning agents and/or rinsing or re-rinsing water.
