[origin: WO0221479A1] The invention relates to an integrated traffic monitoring system, comprising devices for measuring environmental and weather data, traffic sensors, a traffic monitoring centre, for storing and processing the recorded data and communications devices, for carrying out the exchange of data with the monitoring devices and the data users. The invention further relates to a driver assist system, working autonomously or as part of the integrated traffic monitoring system. According to the invention, environmental impact may be reduced whereby the integrated traffic monitoring system and/or the driver assist system carry out control actions in a traffic system. The control actions comprise issuing information, warnings and/or recommendations to road travellers, intervention in the infrastructure and/or the vehicle. In addition, the invention relates to a digital map, forming part of the integrated traffic monitoring system and/or the driver assist system. According to the invention, immission data is stored in the digital map as an attribute.
