Plate element (2), especially for garage or sectional doors, comprises a frame (10) made of wood housing a filling element (11) made of a foamed material or a soft fiber or glass fiber insulating plate. The plate-like filling element is held between two pressure distribution plates (12). On both sides of the plate element a covering layer (13) of wood is connected to a pressure distribution plate. <??>Independent claims are also included for a garage or sectional door consisting of several plate elements, and for the production of the above plate element. Preferred Features: The pressure distribution plates are made of chipboard or plywood panels which are glued at the edges to the frame. The filling plate is made of polyurethane foam, polypropylene foam or another foamed material.

Ein Plattenelement (2), insbesondere für Garagentore, umfasst einen aus Holz bestehenden Rahmen (10), in dem ein Füllungselement (11) aufgenommen ist. Das Füllungselement (11) ist im wesentlichen aus einem geschäumten Material gebildet, wobei beidseitig eine Deckschicht (13) aus Holz um das Füllungselement (11) angeordnet ist. Das plattenförmige Füllungselement (11) ist zwischen zwei Druckverteilerplatten (12) eingefasst. Das erfindungsgemäße Plattenelement (2) besitzt eine besonders hohe Wärmedämmung bei geringem Gewicht und lässt sich insbesondere für Garagentore und Fassadenverkleidungen einsetzen. Ferner wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Plattenelementes (2) bereitgestellt. <IMAGE>
