Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1317025A2] A transverse septum of a cylindrical carrier housing with threads, receives and positions a RJ-45 connector (12) at a predetermined location within the housing. A tapered boot (26) radially compresses a chuck (18), to move the connector to a preset location and for gripping a cable (14). When threaded bushing (34) is tightened onto the housing in a threaded joint, the boot is urged towards the housing to form an assembly.
