[origin: WO0223133A1] The invention relates to sensor head (13) comprising a sensor element (28) whose measurement signal can be fed to a comparator (24). Said comparator compares the measurement signal to a threshold value and forwards a binary output signal to a transmission circuit (22). The sensor head is provided with electric energy via a proprietary two-wire line (14). In addition, the output signal can be transmitted from the transmission circuit (22) via the two-wire line (14) to a higher-order control module (12) that is located outside of the sensor head. At least two sensor heads (13) of this type can be connected to said control module (12).
