[origin: WO0221555A1] Die Erfindung betrifft einen Überlastschutz, insbesondere für den Starter eines Verbrennungsmotors, mit einem ersten Kontakt (1) der in einem nicht ausgelösten Zustand des Überlastschutzes durch die Einwirkung eines Materials (3) mit einem zweiten Kontakt (2) elektrisch leitend verbunden ist, wobei eine temperaturbedingte Verformung und/oder Veränderung des Materials (3) zur Auslösung des Überlastschutzes eine Unterbrechung der elektrischen Verbindung zwischen dem ersten Kontakt (1) und dem zweiten Kontakt (2) bewirkt, wenn ein vorherbestimmter Temperaturwert des Materials (3) überschritten wird. Erfindungsgemäss ist vorgesehen, dass das Material Lot (3) ist. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung eine elektrische Maschine, die den erfindungsgemässen Überlastschutz aufweist, sowie die Verwendung einer Lötstelle als Überlastschutz.
