Mold tube has a tube wall (2) with an inner contour (3) in a beam-blank format with rounded transitions (6) between wall sections (9) delimiting a flange region (7) on one side and a web region (8) on the other side. The inner contour can be directly cooled by a cooling medium introduced from the outside. Cooling channels (4) are provided in the tube wall extending in the longitudinal direction. The distance from two cooling channels next to each other in the transitions is less than the distance in the remaining wall sections. <??>Preferred Features: A water guiding casing fitted to the tube wall is provided on the outer contour. The tube wall has a double T-shaped cross-section.

Das Kokillenrohr (1) zum Stranggießen von Metallen besitzt einen Doppel-T-förmigen Querschnitt im Beam-Blank-Format. Die den Querschnitt des Gießstrangs vorgebende Innenkontur (3) wird durch Kühlwasser (KW) gekühlt, das durch Kühlkanäle (4) in der Rohrwand (2) geführt wird. Die Kühlkanäle (4) haben bei der Herstellung einen runden Querschnitt. Die Innenkontur (3) besitzt gerundete Übergänge (6) zwischen einen Flanschbereich (7) und einen Stegbereich (8) begrenzenden Wandabschnitten (9), wobei der Abstand (A) von zwei in den Übergängen (6) einander benachbarten Kühlkanälen (4) kleiner ist als der Abstand (B) in den übrigen Wandabschnitten (9). <IMAGE>
