Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1318252A1] The fixing system consists of a tubular structure (2) fitted permanently within the walls of a duct (11) at selected points, forming sleeves for the insertion of telescopic rods (3). The rods project through the inner wall (11a) of the duct, where they act as anchors for a temporary supporting structure such as scaffolding or a platform used by workers cleaning or repairing the duct. The rods ends are designed to receive cantilever supporting brackets (4), and have holes (6) through their ends for split pins (7). Between maintenance operations the rods are removed and the outer ends of the tubes are closed by plates (9).
