[origin: EP1318254A2] The lock handle (9), to operate a sliding rod lock, has a cylindrical opening (12) to hold a cylindrical bolt (10) at one end. A shear pin (17) secures the handle to the bolt, held in aligned conical openings (15,16) at the bolt and the handle. The bolt has a polygonal structure (13) for a keyed bond with a follower of the sliding rod lock. In the event of a forced entry, forces on the handle shear the pin.
