[origin: EP1318575A1] The connector (1) includes a base body (2) with an outer section (2a) for arranging on the outside of the panel wall (5), and an inner section (2b) for insertion through the wall opening. An adaptor (4) can be attached to the base body. A clamping member (6) can be attached to the adaptor in such a way that the panel wall (5) is clamped between the outer section and the clamping member. The adaptor may be fixed to the base body by a threaded joint, a bayonet, or a catch. <??>An Independent claim is also included for a method of installing a panel-mounted plug connector in a wall opening of a panel wall.
